Over the weekend we took our seniors from FBC Jax on a beach retreat to Topsail Island. These students are simply amazing. I am encouraged continually by their faith. It is truly a blessing to get to work with them on a weekly basis. We will miss them next year as the venture off to their chosen colleges/careers. Here's to you class of '09!

My first attempt to skim board. I fell a lot but it was fun!! :)
Steve of course was a lot better than me.
And Ty was the best.
I often like slower shutter speeds to show movement in a picture. However, this picture was great using a higher speed- I love the water in this picture though. :)
I ordered a new lens today- just waiting for them to ship it. It's currently backordered....
This lens is hot right now...it's back ordered on nearly every site. I probably did a really bad thing today...I admit I didn't do my research well enough. I should have ordered through B&H however I thought that the company I ordered from had them in stock. Ah well. Live and learn I guess. Looking forward to experimenting with my first prime/fixed lens!!!

Hey lady! I did the same exact thing! I'm in PA right now at my brother's with my little nephew and was so excited to use my new lense for some low light portraits. Ordered it a month ago, but still hasn't come in... Should've stuck with B&H - I agree! Hope everything is good!
