Week 30 put me in the middle of the snow- cold and shivering, despite my extra layer of fat accumulating.
I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and it's hard to believe I have 8 weeks left- 8 weeks! That's 2 months. Holy Cow I have a lot to get done!!
Jaden has been actively kicking the crap out of me lately. He likes to consistently stretch out so that he is poking out of the sides of me or pushing his heels and elbows out in the most uncomfortable places. I guess one thing good about being pregnant in the winter is not sweating to death in the heat. I'd much rather have sweatshirts and long sleeve t-shirts that don't fit exatly with sweats than try to find tank tops to squeeze into. I'm sure everyone else would much rather see the sweatshirts too. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable and starting to loose my breath easily. I get the occasional leg cramps- and I know, Eat Bananas!! Too bad I don't like them.
Steve and I have signed up for a few classes through the hospital in Hannibal for February. That should be interesting and hopefully very informative since neither of us really have the slightest clue of what we're doing. I guess everyone is in the same boat when they're first time parents. Sleep has been very valuable lately. Everyone says you're more tired in the 1st trimester- I disagree. At night when I finally sleep I will sleep sometimes 9-10 hours. Unfortunately they are un interrupted due to my frequent bathroom breaks thanks to Jaden's game of kick the bladder.
I guess living in a small town doesn't really help with cravings at any time of the day. We have 4 places to eat after 5- none of which hardly ever sound good. Where did Chic-Fil-A disappear to? And Arbys? :(
We've officially moved in and everything is slowly falling into place. We still have boxes to go through but we've reached the livable state. Of course there are things we want to do- #1- get the nursery painted/done #2- take down the horrid wallpaper in the 1970's kitchen. That will do it for now, at least until little Jaden gets here. We're working on getting directtv and internet at the house this week- D-tv people were supposed to come yesterday...Here's what happened.
We bundled our tv, phone, cell, internet together through Cingular. Great! Well they told me our home phone would be set up on Monday and that D-tv would be here Monday so I was supposed to stay home between 12-4. 2:00 rolls around, no installing man. 4:00 rolls around...no installing man. So...I called the company
"Hi, we were supposed to get direct tv today and no one has showed up and it's 5:00"
"Do you live at ________? Blue truck in the drive?"
"Yes"
"Well actually there was a technician there earlier for about 30 min outside your house trying to call you."
"I never got the call"
"We called this number ....(house number) because we didn't have your cell on flie."
ok so maybe I am dumb- but we didn't even know we had phone service yet because apparently they don't come in to do that. #2- we don't even own a phone in our house yet.
A few min. later I heard a strange phone ring...coming from the basement. #3- who puts a phone in the basement??
Anyhow, they're coming again tomorrow.
