I've known Holly since we were kids. Her sister, Bonnie and I were best friends in high school and eventually she and I attended college together at SIUE. Like many couples, Holly and Aaron were BFF's first. I remember the early stages of their relationship and seeing them on campus together....(always!)and I always wondered why they weren't more than just friends. After several years of being friends, they found that they wanted something more, and let me tell you, being married to your best friend is one of the greatest blessings you could ever have.
Somewhere between children's choir, youth group, and attending college, we grew up, and Holly has grown into quite the academic. Just finishing law school, this grad has had a full plate this season! Aaron is genuinely one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Their quirky sense of humor and love for Christ and others makes them a wonderful pair. I was thrilled when she contacted me about photographing her wedding last year and loved both her and Aaron's vision for their images.
First looks are da bomb. Excited to be having almost every bride doing one this year!!! whoop whoop (raise the roof dance from my computer chair...oh yes I did)
It was a hot day for a wedding, but it turned out beautifully. An simple ceremony with an adorable backyard reception made for an excellent day.
A random ladder in the middle of town? Why yes we'll take it. :)
A big shoutout to my girl Emily Dobson for spending the day with me and giving me some great images to add to Holly and Aaron's collection.
In all the years I've known Holly I've never seen her so happy than on her wedding day.
Beautiful!!
Congrats again Holly and Aaron. I had a blast with you guys on your wedding day. I hope you love your images and that Seattle was amazing!!!! I pray that God will bless with a long and happy life together. Let the adventure begin! :)
